Howdy.
In this post we're exploring a hidden feature of Western world culture: the fat guy cap.
What, then, say we of this...?
We say: this is a complete enigma...!
However, if an analysis is to be made, we hold:
If you're a white male above some level of age, and weight, you need something to top it all off. You need to crown that pompous, pretentious, slighty unsavory figure with a pertinent garment.
And what better item to symbolize this than the fat guy cap.

I can only stand aside, present the evidence, and let you marvel at the sight.
In the top pic we have GRR Martin, author of nihilist nonsense. OK, he isn't a woke street-preacher lecturing you, he's a story-teller. But he's totally irrelevant in today's reality.
The same goes for Gene Wolfe, seen in the next pic (see below). He too writes nihilist nonsense in fictional form, essentially empty middle-brow novels -- not wholly unlikable as such, this is FANTASY, but Wolfe has nothing to add to the spiritual world-view we need now.
Finally we have Homer Simpson. Who never pretended to be anything at all. He simply is a fat guy in a fat guy cap -- end of story.
