I live in a grey area.
Grey, grey-blue, grey-white and whiteout. How sober, how discreet, how low-key and yet jubilant, to live in this glorified grey area.
Top pic is Södra Sundet = the Southern Sound and the Vårdkasberget, January 2016. Water, mountain, coniferous vegetation, houses and hallelujah.
Bottom pic is a lorry crane putting a drawbridge in place, same time of year. Thery're rebuilding it, a canal bridge here in Härnösand, the Western Canal Bridge to be precise. It began in September 2015. It'll be finished soon, they say. Nice work, nice progress. Seen in retrospect, the noise from the building site has been bearable.
